 Next Library Book Exchanges are: Thursday, February 6 and Monday, February 24.




Hello families,

Our ultimate goal as teachers and parents is to raise lifelong readers.

On Thursday, February 6th at 6:30 pm, parents are invited to Varsity’s first Literacy Night.

Parents and guardians are invited to join teacher Mme Jennifer McCann for a session covering how children learn to read, what the current research tells us is most effective and important, and how to best support your child.  A question and answer period will follow.

Although this presentation is best suited for parents with students in K-3, anyone is welcome to attend.

Aujourd'hui, it was Maddy's special helper day et Maddy picked le numéro trois et we had copains de lecture et we read two books about groundhogs (les marmottes) and we also made a groundhog picture with addition and you had to colour it a certain colour and one of the books we read was called Ten Grouchy Groundhogs and we practiced les mots de la semaine. -Sammy
Aujourd'hui, on a fait le mot trois et we did une marmotte and you had to colour it a certain colour et we had un petit peu de balles (left) dans la jarre et we practiced les mots de la semaine et we talked about la communauté et it was Maddy's étoile du jour. -Aria B

Message To Parents: FOOD BANK DONATIONS NEEDED PLEASE We are collecting non-perishable food items for the Mayor's Food Bank Drive until December 19.    Items can include:   P asta sauce, granola bars, juice boxes, powdered milk, stage three baby food, peanut butter, pasta, rice, soup cans or packages, cereal, oatmeal, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned beans, canned fruit, pancake/bread/biscuit mixes, gluten-free pasta, etc.   Thank you for your support!
