Day 48 - 48e jour d'école

Message To Parents:
Just a reminder that November's Parent/Teacher Conferences for Kindergarten to Grade 5 are next THURSDAY, November 21 from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm.  There is no school for students on Thursday.

On Wednesday, November 20, our Kindergarten students have Student/Involved Conferences so their is no classes for Kindergarten on Wednesday, November 20.  Grades 1-5 have regular school on Wednesday.  

Friday is a Professional Learning Day for teachers so there is no school for students on this day.

The conference booking system opens tomorrow at 4:00 for families.

Next Library Book Exchange is Wednesday, November 20.

-Madame M vient dans notre classe. -Addy
-it was Mallory's special helper day and we did calendrier and we did gym. -Aria B.
-we did Blogger and it was Mallory's étoile du jour and we had gymnase and we did mathématiques and we did a little bit of a dance movement break and we did le poème rose and we played games and Madame Frances was the teacher (in gym). -Alexis
-we had gym today and M. Trevor wasn't there and Mme Frances was the teacher and we did la couleur rose. -Arya M.

-my mommy came to our class to volunteer. -Halle
-in the morning we had a special guest and his name is Elder Randy and he teached us about the First Nations. -Haddon
-we had gymnase avec Mme Frances. -Hannah
-Elder Randy told us about the First Nations and he told us a story and he also taught us about tipis. -Sammy
-it was my special helper day and Halle's Mommy came to our class. -Mallory
-today we had gymnase with Madame Frances and it was Mallory's étoile du jour and we did Blogger and we did mathématiques. -Harley
-c'est Mallory qui est l'étoile du jour and c'est Elder Randy who was our special guest today. -Patrick

Message To Parents: Further to my email sent earlier this week, I have made a change.   Students may come to school dressed in their costume on October 31st and may wear their costume for the entire school day if they wish.   Students will need to remove their costume if it is cumbersome and/or not safe for running during our gym period. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. Day 1 - Premier jour d'école

First Day of School - Welcome to Grade One Today, we read a book called First Day Jitters and talked about being nervous and excited at the same time in new and unfamiliar situations.  We then toured the school including the new areas of the Learning Commons and also visited the other grade one classes.  Please ask your child about the Zen Room in the Learning Commons!  We  discussed school and class rules, decorated and coloured a shoe for our spot in the coatroom, played a name game in French called: Bonjour, je m'appelle and enjoyed the sunshine outdoors for physical education.  We had a great first day of grade one and can't wait for day two! Please check your child's blue folder for letters sent home and return the After School Transportation letter to school.  Please also read the letter about our fun brown bag activity.
