Day 56 - 56e jour decole Tomorrow is Pyjama and Crazy Hat Day!

Message To Parents:

 Tomorrow is CRAZY HAT DAY (school-wide) and PYJAMA DAY (for Room 1).  Students may bring a hat to decorate or they can make a hat/headband out of paper on Thursday with their copains de lecture (grade four buddies).  Students may bring a stuffed animal to school on Pyjama Day.


FOOD BANK DONATIONS NEEDED PLEASE
We are collecting non-perishable food items for the Mayor's Food Bank Drive until December 19.  Items can include:  Pasta sauce, granola bars, juice boxes, powdered milk, stage three baby food, peanut butter, pasta, rice, soup cans or packages, cereal, oatmeal, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned beans, canned fruit, pancake/bread/biscuit mixes, gluten-free pasta, etc.  Thank you for your support!

 Next Library Book Exchanges will be: Tuesday, December 3rd and Thursday, December 12th.

 In Art, we are learning about a famous Dutch artist named, Piet Modrian.  Today with our a volunteer (Madame Claire), students made Modrian inspired modern art using black, white, the primary colours, squares and rectangles.  Please watch the following video:

Today, we heard the story about la lettre Xx.  Please ask your child to tell you the story and also what sound Xx makes in French.

Message To Parents: Further to my email sent earlier this week, I have made a change.   Students may come to school dressed in their costume on October 31st and may wear their costume for the entire school day if they wish.   Students will need to remove their costume if it is cumbersome and/or not safe for running during our gym period. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.
