Day 30 - 30e jour d'école

Aujourd'hui,:
-we said what les couleurs primaires are (primary colours) and we did two recesses. –Haddon
-we did Go Noodle. –Arya M.
-it was special Healthy Hunger lunch and we did a Spiderman movement break. -Sammy
-we did Blogger. -Addy
-we had snack and lunch and two recesses and it was Heathy Hunger special lunch. -Maddy 
-we did a dance movement break and it was Alexis’ bag today and Patrick's special helper day. -Alexis
-Madame M came and we made pumpkin art. -Harley 
-we did pumpkin art with Madame M and we did our calendrier. -Alexis
-we went to bibliothèque. -Hannah
-it was Patrick’s special helper day and we also had snack and lunch and two recesses. -Hannah-Mae 
-we did writing and we had two recesses and Madame M came (to do art). -Jack
-we brainstormed things that are orange and found pictures on Google images. -Madame Emily

Message To Parents: Further to my email sent earlier this week, I have made a change.   Students may come to school dressed in their costume on October 31st and may wear their costume for the entire school day if they wish.   Students will need to remove their costume if it is cumbersome and/or not safe for running during our gym period. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. Day 1 - Premier jour d'école

First Day of School - Welcome to Grade One Today, we read a book called First Day Jitters and talked about being nervous and excited at the same time in new and unfamiliar situations.  We then toured the school including the new areas of the Learning Commons and also visited the other grade one classes.  Please ask your child about the Zen Room in the Learning Commons!  We  discussed school and class rules, decorated and coloured a shoe for our spot in the coatroom, played a name game in French called: Bonjour, je m'appelle and enjoyed the sunshine outdoors for physical education.  We had a great first day of grade one and can't wait for day two! Please check your child's blue folder for letters sent home and return the After School Transportation letter to school.  Please also read the letter about our fun brown bag activity.
