Day 15 - 15e jour d'école - Library Book Exchange Tomorrow

Messages to Parents:

Tomorrow is our Library Book Exchange Day.  Please have your child return their books.

On Friday, students need to dress warmly for the weather for the Terry Fox Run (in layers and in safe outdoor shoes to run in rather than winter boots or rain boots).  If it is snowing or raining lightly, we are still running outside.  (If weather is unsafe, we will be inside.)  Students also need to bring a pair of dry socks to change into afterwards.

Today:
-we had musique. -Jack
-it was Hannah-Mae's special helper day. -Sammy 
-we went to gymnase and musique. -Harley 
-we opened a brown bag. -Addy 
-we had one snack and one lunch. -Aahil 
-we had recess and the Terry Fox run (in gym). -Halle 
-we learned about Terry Fox and we watched a video about him and we did Go Noodle. -Haddon
-we had collation. -Jack
-we did calendrier. -Bobby 
-we had two recesses. -Sarah 
-we did calendar. -Mallory 
-we did two recesses and we readed our books. -Alexis 
-we did my bag (brown bag). -Marlo 
-we practiced the Terry Fox run. -Jack 
-we were reading the blue (poem). -Haddon 
-we had gym with M. Trevor and we practiced the Terry Fox run. -Addy 
-we practiced doing the Terry Fox run outside with M. Trevor in gymnase. -Hannah-Mae 
-we had snack . -Jack
-we played a game (Bonhomme pendu/Hangman). -Bobby

Message To Parents: Further to my email sent earlier this week, I have made a change.   Students may come to school dressed in their costume on October 31st and may wear their costume for the entire school day if they wish.   Students will need to remove their costume if it is cumbersome and/or not safe for running during our gym period. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. Day 1 - Premier jour d'école

First Day of School - Welcome to Grade One Today, we read a book called First Day Jitters and talked about being nervous and excited at the same time in new and unfamiliar situations.  We then toured the school including the new areas of the Learning Commons and also visited the other grade one classes.  Please ask your child about the Zen Room in the Learning Commons!  We  discussed school and class rules, decorated and coloured a shoe for our spot in the coatroom, played a name game in French called: Bonjour, je m'appelle and enjoyed the sunshine outdoors for physical education.  We had a great first day of grade one and can't wait for day two!
